The Role
We’re seeking a Production & Editing Coordinator who is passionate about editing, energized by hands-on production, and excited to contribute across multiple creative formats—including video, podcasts, livestreams, and event-driven storytelling.
This hybrid role blends post-production, production coordination, on-set support, and creative/operational responsibilities, offering a uniquely wide-ranging foundation for an early-career creative professional.
A significant portion of your work will involve editing—particularly unscripted short-form content—while supporting a growing slate of new media formats. If you’re looking to sharpen your editing skills, build production experience, and explore the future of storytelling, this role is an exceptional opportunity.

Assist with editing podcast episodes, livestream segments, or event deliverables as needed
Assemble rough cuts, selects, and story-driven edits
Support light finishing (color, audio clean-up, graphics)
Take on full edits and project ownership as your experience grows
Production, Podcasts & On-Set Support
Assist with pre-production for shoots, livestreams, and podcast recordings
Support on-location productions with camera, lighting, audio, and general crew needs
Help prepare and monitor podcast setups, audio workflows, and recording environments
Contribute to livestream preparations and technical coordination
Maintain a smooth, organized, positive shoot environment
Company & Creative Operations
Update and maintain the Silent Dog Pictures website and project portfolio
Manage and grow the company’s social media presence
Help refine systems, workflows, and internal processes
Work closely with the founder across creative and operational initiatives

You are:
A capable editor with experience crafting unscripted short-form content, reels, branded pieces, or documentary-style videos
Highly proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, with familiarity in the full Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects) and/or DaVinci Resolve as a plus
Knowledgeable in basic camera, lighting, audio, and on-set workflows
Comfortable learning or expanding skills in podcast production, audio editing, or livestream workflows
A proactive, organized, detail-oriented self-starter who thrives wearing many hats
Comfortable working independently and within a small creative team
Enthusiastic about filmmaking, storytelling, and mission-driven content
Familiar with social media platforms, trends, and content best practices
Energized by joining a small company where your impact is immediate and visible
Hungry to learn, grow, and take on more responsibility as the company expands into new formats and technologies
Experience Level
This role is ideal for early-career creatives who have hands-on experience editing short-form, unscripted content—regardless of whether that experience came from school, freelance work, personal projects, internships, or professional environments.
We are not requiring a college degree. What matters most is:
Your ability to tell compelling stories in the edit
Your comfort working with real-world footage (interviews, verité, branded, doc-style)
Your enthusiasm for growing across production, post, podcasts, livestreaming, and events
Whether you’re a recent graduate, self-taught, or coming from a nontraditional background, if you can edit and you’re excited about this role, we encourage you to apply.
